NATIONAL SEMINAR ON EMERGING
TRENDS IN CONSUMERISM
The Post Graduate Department
of Commerce and Management
Studies is organizing a two
day National Sminar on ‘
Emerging Trends in
Consumerism’ on 19th and
20th of December 2011. The
seminar is jointly sponsored
by the Department of Food &
Civil Supplies and
Department of Collegiate
Education, Govt. of Kerala.
The seminar will be held at
the College Auditorium. In
addition to the Inaugural
and valedictory sessions,
there will be six academic
sessions in which five
sessions are for talks by
invited Resource Persons and
one session is for
Contributory papers by the
Participants.
Dignitaries like the Pro
Vice Chancellor, University
of Calicut, Additional
Director of Collegiate
Education, Govt. of Kerala,
and District Supply Officer,
Palakkad are to attend the
seminar. The below listed
topics will be transacted in
the seminar:
1. Consumer Activism
2. Consumer Protection Act
3. Consumer and the Market
4. Consumer and the Banks
5. Misleading by
Advertisements
6. Environment and Consumer
7. Consumption and
Sustainable Development
The technical sessions will
be handled by excellent
academics from various
Colleges and Universities
from within and outside
Kerala.Teachers from Colleges and
Universities can participate
in the seminar. Students of
Undergraduate, Post
Graduate, M.Phil. and Ph. D
programme can also attend
the seminar.
