SNGS COLLEGE::PTA

PTA College PTA actively involves in the day to day problems of the College. PTA provides funds for the repair of furniture and other minor repair works in the college. Funds for conducting half yearly examination, cash awards to outstanding students in each class, necessary chemicals and repair of instruments are also provided by the PTA. Furniture repair is a major head of expenditure of PTA. PTA sponsored Founder memorial lecture and seminars are conducted in all Post Graduate Departments. This year Punnasseri Memorial talk was conducted on 08-02-2007. Prof. K.G. Sanakrapillai was the chief guest.He delivered a talk on 'Kavithayum Puthukalavaum'.Along with this Punnasseri talk series were alos been conducted by Department of Malayalam, Commerce, Chemistry and Economics this year.PTA also conducts send off meetings every year. One month computer awareness classes are conducted to all first year degree students. Two guest lectures engage these classes from 8 to 9.30 am and from 3.30 to 5 P.MCentre also offers internet browsing facility with a nominal charge of RS 5/=per hours for students and RS 10/= per hours for the staff.

Computer Centre is used by students for preparing their dissertation.
